How to Search Alachua County Records (Start Here)
Alachua County (Gainesville, home of UF) has strong online access for both court records and property. The Clerk's system includes actual document images, not just index listings.
- Court records with document images: alachuaclerk.org/court_records — the Clerk of Circuit Court provides the latest filings and document images for cases in the system.
- Official records (deeds, liens, mortgages): The Clerk also serves as the County Recorder. Official records index is searchable online through the same site.
- Alachua County Property Appraiser at acpafl.org. They also offer a free Title Alert monitoring service that notifies you of changes to your property record.
- Statewide criminal: FDLE offers a free Florida criminal search. Local criminal cases are on the Clerk's court records site.
